Welcome to Gnomies Woodland Fountain

Gnomies is a cozy, forest-inspired dry bar and community hub. As New Hampshire’s very first alcohol-free bar, we provide an inclusive space to unwind and reconnect.

By day, enjoy café coffees and fresh baked goods. Day or night, our dry bar shines with sophisticated, zero-proof mocktails. Pair your drink with our chef-prepared evening menu, featuring a hearty Bavarian influence, or join us for a relaxed Sunday brunch.

Gnomies is all about casual, analog fun. Dive into our massive board game library, get creative in instructor-led art classes, or rent our whimsical event space for private gatherings. Whether you are playing games, making art, sharing a meal, or meeting friends, Gnomies is your inviting woodland escape.

What is a dry bar?

A dry bar is a social gathering space that serves creative, alcohol-free beverages designed for connection and enjoyment. Our drinks are crafted with bold flavors, botanicals, and wellness in mind—celebrating community, flavor, and healthy hydration without the need for alcohol.

 A Little Gnomies Update

August 2026

What a summer it has been at Gnomies!

When we opened our doors this spring, we knew Gnomies would be something we would build one step at a time. Over the past several months, this little woodland space has continued to grow, evolve, and become the welcoming third space we imagined—a place for connection, creativity, good food, great drinks, and a little bit of magic.

 We Celebrated Our Grand Opening!

On July 25th, we officially celebrated our Grand Opening, and what an incredible day it was! We welcomed so many people through our doors for food, mocktails, giveaways, Coffee Club sign-ups, sweet treats, conversation, and plenty of smiles.

To everyone who came out to celebrate with us—and everyone who has visited, shared a post, brought a friend, attended an event, or simply told someone about Gnomies—thank you.

We truly could not build this without you.

Yes... More Food Is Coming!

One of the biggest questions we continue to hear is: “When is the German food coming?”

We hear you!

Our kitchen has continued to grow throughout the summer as we add equipment, develop recipes, train our team, and work toward expanding our dinner service.

You may already find Gnomies favorites such as Bavarian pretzels with pub cheese and mustard, wurst with sauerkraut, Flammkuchen, fresh salads, café fare, baked goods, and other rotating specials.

And we're just getting started.

Our German-inspired menu will continue to grow with hearty, comforting dishes and flavors inspired by old-world cooking, alongside vegetarian and vegan options and some Gnomies twists of our own. Looking to have this open for first dinner service starting Sept 2.

 The Dry Bar Is Pouring!

Gnomies proudly continues to offer something truly different in Concord: a full dry-bar experience centered around handcrafted non-alcoholic drinks.

Our menu includes creative mocktails, botanical beverages, fresh lemonades, specialty coffee and tea, and a growing collection of non-alcoholic beer, wine, and spirits.

Whether you don't drink alcohol, are taking a break, are the designated driver, or simply want something delicious without the alcohol, you have a seat at our bar.

No explanation necessary.

Gnomies Is Getting Out & About

You may also start seeing our little Gnomies pop-up appearing at more festivals, markets, and community events!

We're having fun bringing our handcrafted lemonades, mocktails, botanical drinks, and Gnomies spirit beyond our woodland walls and into the community.

Pop-ups are becoming another way for people to discover what a dry bar can be—and hopefully inspire them to come visit our home base in Concord.

And Now... We're Looking Toward Fall

As summer begins winding down, we're already dreaming about cozy fall days at Gnomies.

Think German comfort food, bratwurst, pretzels, seasonal mocktails, maple, apple, pear, warming spices, specialty coffee, Sunday brunch, workshops, games, gatherings, and evenings spent around the table.

Our fall hours, seasonal menus, dinner offerings, workshops, live entertainment, and special events will be announced soon.

There is still plenty growing behind the scenes, and we're learning every day what Gnomies can become.

Get to Know Gnomies

Gnomies was founded by Susan Riedl, a trained chef, artist, and community-builder with deep roots in the art, mental health field, and restaurant industry.  The name Gnomies is in honor of her mother who loved gardening, wild flowers, and gnomes.

Susan is classically trained in French cuisine, with a passion for pastry and baking, Susan is known for creating thoughtful, layered flavor profiles that feel both comforting and intriguing. Alongside her culinary background, she is an artist, and registered art therapist who believes deeply in the power of creativity, connection, and shared experiences to support mental health, wellness, and a sense of belonging.

Inspired by New Hampshire’s more than 4,000 local farms, Susan’s return to the restaurant world is driven by a commitment to supporting local agriculture while nourishing the health and wellbeing of the community. Gnomies brings these values together—art, food, and connection—within a whimsical, cozy café inspired by gnome folklore, European traditions, and playful American spirit. With Bavarian influences meeting approachable, modern flavors, Gnomies is a place where creativity is celebrated, ingredients are intentional, and gathering is the heart of everything.

Our Journey

Gnomies Woodland Fountain began as a small pop-up lemonade stand in New Hampshire in 2025, evolving into a café that celebrates the joy of community and natural foods. Our enchanting gnome theme creates a unique atmosphere perfect for gatherings and learning. We’re committed to fostering connections with local farms and promoting food literacy through delightful experiences.

You can catch us in the community as a pop-up vendor during local events like the CAM markets, Renaissance Faire, and Mulitcultural events.
