Gnomies is a cozy café, board game lounge, and New Hampshire's first dry bar, created to bring people together. We serve handcrafted botanical beverages, quality coffee, and farm-to-table foods in a welcoming space where you can gather, play, create, and connect.
In addition to our café offerings, we host game nights, live music, workshops, classes, and special events for all ages. Whether you're meeting friends, spending time with family, or looking for a place to belong, Gnomies offers an affordable and inviting community space.
What is a dry bar?
A dry bar is a social gathering space that serves creative, alcohol-free beverages designed for connection and enjoyment. Our drinks are crafted with bold flavors, botanicals, and wellness in mind—celebrating community, flavor, and healthy hydration without the need for alcohol.

🌿 A Little Gnomies Update 🌿 June 23.2026
When we first opened our doors this spring, we knew Gnomies would be a journey of building something special one step at a time. Since then, we've welcomed hundreds of guests, hosted live music, workshops, game nights, art events, community gatherings, and served countless handcrafted beverages. What started as a dream is quickly becoming the cozy third space we hoped it would be—a place for connection, creativity, and a little bit of magic.
Many of you have been asking, "When is the food coming?"
The good news is that we recently received approval from the health inspector to begin serving baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and light fare. We have officially started firing up the kitchen equipment we have in place and are continuing to add more equipment in the coming weeks as we work toward the German-inspired menu so many of you have been asking for.
Right now, we're serving a growing selection of café offerings, including Bavarian pretzels with house-made dips, chickpea wraps, kraut dogs, flatbreads, bakery treats, and more. As we continue testing recipes, training staff, and fine-tuning our kitchen operations, we appreciate your patience as we build this part of Gnomies thoughtfully and intentionally.
On the beverage side, Gnomies is fully in bloom. We proudly remain New Hampshire's first dry bar, offering handcrafted lemonades, botanical beverages, coffee drinks, tea, non-alcoholic beers, wines, and spirits—all focused on wellness, hydration, connection, and community.
Looking ahead, we're excited to continue expanding our food offerings throughout the summer, including some of the German comfort foods you've been requesting, such as schnitzel, spaetzle, house-made pretzels, Bee Sting Cake, and family recipes inspired by my grandparents' old-world cooking.
We are hosting weekly Sunday Brunch Sessions with live music starting July 5th, additional community events, and of course our Grand Opening celebration set for July 25th!
In the meantime, there's already so much happening at Gnomies:
Board Games
Art Workshops
Live Music
Fiber Arts Gatherings
Chess Club
Coffee, Tea & Botanical Beverages
Non-Alcoholic Beer, Wine & Spirits
Fresh Café Fare & Bakery Treats
If you've been waiting for food before stopping by, now is a great time to visit. While we're still growing, the space is already filled with creativity, connection, conversation, and some delicious things to eat and drink.
Thank you for supporting a small local business as we continue to build something special here in Concord. Every visit, every kind word, every shared post, and every purchase helps bring this vision to life.
We are incredibly grateful for this community and excited for what comes next.

Get to Know Gnomies
Gnomies was founded by Susan Riedl, a trained chef, artist, and community-builder with deep roots in the art, mental health field, and restaurant industry. The name Gnomies is in honor of her mother who loved gardening, wild flowers, and gnomes.
Susan is classically trained in French cuisine, with a passion for pastry and baking, Susan is known for creating thoughtful, layered flavor profiles that feel both comforting and intriguing. Alongside her culinary background, she is an artist, and registered art therapist who believes deeply in the power of creativity, connection, and shared experiences to support mental health, wellness, and a sense of belonging.
Inspired by New Hampshire’s more than 4,000 local farms, Susan’s return to the restaurant world is driven by a commitment to supporting local agriculture while nourishing the health and wellbeing of the community. Gnomies brings these values together—art, food, and connection—within a whimsical, cozy café inspired by gnome folklore, European traditions, and playful American spirit. With Bavarian influences meeting approachable, modern flavors, Gnomies is a place where creativity is celebrated, ingredients are intentional, and gathering is the heart of everything.

Our Journey
Gnomies Woodland Fountain began as a small pop-up lemonade stand in New Hampshire in 2025, evolving into a café that celebrates the joy of community and natural foods. Our enchanting gnome theme creates a unique atmosphere perfect for gatherings and learning. We’re committed to fostering connections with local farms and promoting food literacy through delightful experiences.
You can catch us in the community as a pop-up vendor during local events like the CAM markets, Renaissance Faire, and Mulitcultural events.
